Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing, sky, outdoor and natureEvery Thanksgiving morning for like the last… I don’t know how many years, Angela and I have walked a 5K. This year we did an organized walk with South Potomac Church. We participated in their 5K Turkey Trot!

My friend, Angela is a crazy fun-loving lady. She out did herself with this costume! Rasta-lock wig was too much! And the teal tutu for ovarian cancer – which she has – mmm just lovely! I love you lady, and am very thankful for our “get fit before we sit” – tradition!

I am looking forward to seeing family, making new friends, (we have a LOT of new people to me at our family gatherings), seeing my team win football, and most importantly – eating my favorite foods!

My all-time favorite food – STUFFING with gravy! I love macaroni and cheese, but stuffing and gravy. I could write about this duo for the next 30-days!

I love coming to work and being busy. However, I don’t want to busy with just busy work, but meaningfully busy! So thankful that I am meaningfully busy – and learning new things! paycheck

End of the year, and financial reports are due. Since I am the ONLY administrative person here, that means I need to produce! So, thankful my supervisor is understanding, and patient as I navigate this exciting learning curve!

Day 15: Thankful for KIRK

This dude is my ride or die! My ace in the hole! My right-hand man! My RIDE!

His name is Kirk Camry, he came into our lives in 2012, and made us a 2-car family!

Five years later, and I am still very thankful for him. He is reliable, safe, and always gets me home!

I’m thankful for how music soothes my soul! This is why I don’t care for music with profanity, because the words seem to penetrate my heart!

Today on my Fitbit walk, I was listening to old Contemporary Christian music, and (stop reading now, it gets real sappy) my heart was just filling with joy over HOW much God loves us. It is INCONCEIVABLE! Yet, God gives us evidence of His love for us in all kinds of ways – starting with the willing sacrifice of His Son to atone for our sins!

One of my favorite songs that just blows my mind is this one – Before the Throne of God Above. I hope you get the love of Christ!

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea
A great High Priest whose name is love
Who ever lives and pleads for me
My name is graven on His hands
My name is written on His heart
I know that while in heav’n He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless Righteousness
The great unchangeable I AM
The King of glory and of grace
One with Himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ my Savior and my God
With Christ my Savior and my God
