My Life!

God has shown me GREAT favor. He has given me a hedge of protection, that I pray he will never remove from around my charmed life. And, on top of all of that, he chose me for his very own before (BEFORE) he created the foundations of the universe!

I’m not only very thankful, but blessed beyond my own comprehension.

I am so thankful to my niece Brittani for teaching me to swim last summer. It is my favorite form of exercise. I love the feel of the water going through my hair when I put my head under water for the first time.

I’m so excited! Today, I signed up for my first official swimming class!

1st Amendment

I’m thankful to live in a country where I have the privilege to exercise my 1st Amendment. However, these days I’m sometimes too afraid to do so.

Well, yea, sisters do! 🙂

I am overjoyed when I think of the fact that God has given me a family larger than the nature one that I was born into. He’s adopted me into His family, and now I have sisters galore!

Tonight I spent a few precious hours with some of the dearest sisters to me. My bible study group. We shared a meal, and LOTS of laughs! I love you, ladies! 🙂

A Quiver Full

Today I went to a babyshower, and heard some very encouraging messages to the mom to be. Then I picked up my nieces for a day out doing a little corn maze and hay ride; sadly, it didn’t happen – the place closed. My girls are resilient. We went to lunch at TGI Fridays, ran errands around Waldorf, and then hung out at my house watching the Incredibles before I took them home.

I am so thankful to all the wonderful parents in my life, who trust their precious gifts from God with me. They know that I’ll correct them, love them, and feed them! It overwhelms me to think of the honor bestowed upon me by these generous parents. Thank you for sharing your child’s love with me.

Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV)

My hubby is a gift

I give my man a hard time, but that’s what my wife handbook says I’m suppose to do. 🙂

Seriously, what a great gift God has given me in my husband. I know the bible says, “when a man finds a wife, he finds a good thing.” (Proverbs 18:22) But I really am the fortunate one in my choice of a husband. I am cared for well, loved deeply, and cherished.

Thanks, babe, for 16 wonderful years! 🙂 I’m thankful beyond words for you!
