True confession time. Since I was old enough to buy it for myself, I’ve been having a love affair with sugar. I love sugar! My youngest niece has t-shirts that quote the same, cupcake slippers, and candy pillows. She shares my love for sugar! Actually, I think I share her love for sugar; she’s perfected the art of the obsession.
Being wheat free comes with a price. My love affair is fading. I can’t believe it myself, and if I didn’t have ready proof around the house I really wouldn’t believe it. I bought a bag of M&M’s with peanuts, of course, on Sunday, and they are still here. Yep! My husband even had to say, “What?!” But the ultimate revelation was last night at bible study, there were gluten free cookie versions of Fig Newtons. YES! Fig Newtons! And I ate only ONE! ONE I said.
Here’s is what I ate today;
Breakfast: A few nuts – mostly cashews, a bowl of chicken rice soup – mostly broth, and a pomegranate
Lunch: Salad with butter leaf lettuce, cucumber, and balsamic vinaigrete
Dinner: Claims in white wine sauce over Jasmine rice
Snack: Cheese and grapes, and blackberries
You’re my hero, AA!
From one hero to another! You are definitely MINE! ๐
WOW auntie not even the m&m’s (who are you)
I know – right! I have become someone else! You watch when you stop eating wheat, we’ll be saying the same thing! ๐

I’m here for ya, babe! ๐ But you just wait until mommy says you can.
