I give myself permission to be healthy.
I have spent lots of time worried about my weight, and that really isn’t the issue. The issue is about making better choices, sometimes hard choices, but ultimately about being healthy. So, in an effort to be healthy I’m opting to make a hard choice – exercise. I would rather shoo frogs away, than to have to exercise. (A little insider information, I’m totally grossed out by frogs.) So perhaps I wouldn’t go that far, but I go pretty darn close to avoid exercising!
In the meantime, I’m working on exercise. However, I promised my friend Kim that I would pray about my food habits. (Just having me say it out loud is answered prayer for Angela!) I’m not making a promise to give up anything at this time, but I’m sincerely seeking guidance from God on the issue of self-control. I’ll keep you posted.
I’m right there with ya, AA! We started a team at my church to participate in the 50 Million Pound Challenge and my first behavior modification is to eat fruit every day. Now, I don’t feel the same way about fruit that you do about frogs 😉 but it’s never my 2nd or even 3rd choice, let alone 1st! And I really don’t like “exercise” but I think if we could dance and sing to “In the Belly of the Whale” together I’d enjoy it more! 😀
Alicia, thanks for the laugh out loud right before bed! 😀
