Absolutely, Ann! As I walked this road, it just amazed me how patient God truly is with me EVERY TIME. I'm a living testament to Ecclesiastes 1:8 (...the eye is never satisfied). But praise the Lord, I'm teachable. So, I can put this one down as a benchmark check.

Thanks for your constant encouragement, Ann!

If anyone ever tells you that reading God's word is so "old-school", they haven't opened the Bible up and read it for themselves! Because I have made scripture reading an important part of my daily routine, it has made a big difference in my praise and worship AND it has provided me clarity in life situations I have struggled with in the past. Questions I needed answers to are right in the Bible!

You are welcome, Antonette! And you are a wonderful friend too! Blessings to you this week!

I promise you'll hear more as I keep reading. This book has really been making take a deep look at my spiritual health, and I'm not happy with what I'm seeing. However, I'm very hopeful! I'm very hopeful that with God's help, I'll seize more opportunities too, be bold about sharing my perspective on things, and take time (especially as we are reading through the bible) to learn more about the perfection that He is calling me to! :) Thanks for your encouragement, Aletha! You are a good friend!

Great post on your thoughts, Antonette! I certainly want to be not only look like Him, but act like Him too. Even though I did not set resolutions for this year, I want to be more of a servant to the Lord by simply reaching out more to my family and friends. After taking stock of what I accomplished last year, I was missing a lot of opportunities to give of myself and time. But this year, that's a whole different story. More time with God...less time pouring over frivolous things. I would love to hear more as you continue reading Donald Whitney's book! :)
